An application to have the ANC Youth League liquidated and the organisation's bank accounts frozen, has been lodged with the Johannesburg High Court.
According to court papers, close corporation Z2 Presentations claims that the league owes it R12.8m.
This figure includes R7.6m for services rendered at the Youth League's controversial Bloemfontein congress in 2008, when Julius Malema was elected as leader.
The rest of the debt stems predominantly from interest accrued since 2008.
Z2 Presentations' lawyer Marius van Rensburg told Beeld that papers will be handed to the league this week.
