Anti-corruption hotline paying off

Government has recovered more than R150m since the national anti-corruption hotline was introducted last year.

That's according to Home Affairs Minister, Nkosazana Dlamini-Zuma.

Speaking in Pretoria on Monday, Dlamini-Zuma said 1499 officials have been charged with misconduct for corrupt activities at both national and provincial level.

"Government is committed to clean governance to ensure public money is well spent whilst improving our investment climate," she said.

"We are therefore taking firm steps towards the establishment of an anti-corruption such as the government-wide anti-corruption units, the multi-agency working group and the anti-corruption hotline," said Dlamini-Zuma
