A road in Umbilo in Kwa Zulu Natal has been cordoned off -after a substance - thought to be anthrax - was found in the area near the police station.
Metro police have warned motorists to avoid the area - adding that the chemical unit from the fire department was on the scene.
Spokesperson, Eugene Msomi says "The only details that we have that there is a presence of a substance believed to be anthrax. How the substance got over there, whether it was found in an envelope or it was spilt over by whoever, it is something to be determined."
