The 17-year-old boy convicted for a triple murder in Griekwastad has been sentenced to 20 years imprisonment in the Northern Cape High Court.
Northern Cape Judge President Frans Kgomo sentenced the boy on Wednesday to 20 years imprisonment for each of the three murder convictions, 14
years on a rape conviction and four years for lying to the police.
All sentences will run concurrently which means he'll serve an effective 20 years behind bars.
Earlier this year, Judge Kgomo found the boy guilty of murdering Griekwastad farmer Deon Steenkamp, his wife Christel and their 14 year-old daughter Marthella.
They were shot dead on their farm Naauwhoek in April 2012.
The boy was also found guilty on charges of raping the girl and lying to the police.
