The Hawks in the Western Cape have arrested a gang member in connection with the murder of Brian Wainstein, the man dubbed the Steroid Kingpin.
Wainstein was shot at his Constantia home in front of his partner and a two-year-old child on the 18th of August 2017.
The gunmen took three cell phones before they fled leaving the wife and child unharmed.
Police said the arrest of the 42-year-old suspect on Thursday morning, brings to 17, the number of people arrested in connection with Wainstein's murder.
Spokesperson, Colonel Katlego Mogale, says he will appear in court on Tuesday, along with his alleged accomplices that include named gang kingpins, Mark Williams, Jerome "Donkie" Booysen, and William Stevens, who was subsequently also murdered.
