Police have arrested another security officer employed by G4S in connection with the ongoing investigation into the escape of the so-called Facebook rapist and killer, Thabo Bester.
Police spokesperson, Brigadier Athlenda Mathe, said the 51-year-old man was arrested on Tuesday and is due to appear in court in Bloemfontein on Thursday.
She said he faces a charge of assisting an inmate to escape from lawful custody and defeating the ends of justice.
Earlier this week the father of Thabo Bester's girlfriend, Zolile Sekeleni, was released on R10 000 bail in the Bloemfontein Magistrate's Court, following his arrest for aiding and abetting an escapee.

He is accused number two in the matter where five people, including Bester, face many charges related to him faking his death and escaping from the Mangaung Correctional Centre last year.
The case against Sekeleni case was postponed to 16 May.
The three other co-accused, Dr Nandipha Magudumana, former G4S security guard Senohe Matsoara, and former G4S technician Teboho James Lipholo, will remain in custody until their bail hearing scheduled to start on 3 May.
