The Independent Police Investigative Directorate says another police constable has been arrested in connection with the death in custody of taxi driver, Mido Macia.
He died in the Daveyton Police Station last week after being cuffed and dragged behind a police van.
IPID spokesperson, Moses Dlamini, says this brings to nine the number of police members arrested on a charge of murder.
He has been arrested and charged and will appear with the other eight officers on Monday.
Court officials said the man would make his first appearance later on Friday.
The other eight were officers Meshack Malele, 45, Thamsanqa Ncema, 35, Percy Mnisi, 26, Bongumusa Mdluli, 25, Sipho Ngobeni, 30, Lungisa Ewababa, 31, Bongani Kolisi, 27, and Linda Sololo, 56.
Macia will be buried in Mozambique this weekend.
