Three men were killed in Kayalitsha in Cape Town when angry residents set them alight with tyres.
Police spokesperson, warrant officer November Filander, says the men were found near the Nkanini railway line Monday night,surrounded by a large crowd.
He says the community alleged that they were responsible for a spate of housebreakings in the area.
Filander says two men died on the scene while the third died later in hospital.
No arrests were made but murder dockets have been opened.
