A 33-year-old man will make his first appearance in the Senekal Magistrates Court on Monday following his arrest on Friday for his alleged involvement in the violent protest that erupted in town earlier this month.
He will be facing charges of attempted murder, public violence, arson and malicious damage to property.
Meanwhile, businessman Andre Pienaar, who was the first to be arrested for the protest outside the court, will hear the outcome of his appeal at the High Court in Bloemfontein.
The 51-year-old Pienaar was denied bail last week after Magistrate Buti Mlangeni said he would more than likely interfere with witnesses.
Violence erupted outside the Senekal Magistrates Court on the 6th of October where two suspects appeared in connection with the murder of farm manager Brendin Horner.
During the chaos, a police van was set alight, a female officer strangled before a group of protesters entered the court building.
