ANC secretary-general, Gwede Mantashe, says the party's elective conference will go ahead in spite of a Constitutional Court ruling nullifying the Free State nomination conference.
He said today that the Constitutional Court will provide its reasons on Tuesday for declaring the Free State conference invalid.
This follows an appeal by six Free State ANC members who claimed there were irregularities at some branch nomination elections.
Mantashe says the Constitutional Court ruling will not have an effect on the ANC's elective conference starting on Sunday in Mangaung.
