ANC official slain in North West

 An ANC North West official was shot dead outside his house in Klerksdorp on Friday morning.

North West premier Thandi Modise has identified the victim as Obuti Chika, the party's regional secretary.

Police spokesperson, Brigadier Thulani Ngubane, says officers were still at the scene a short while ago.

Modise said a number of provincial officials have been the targets of violent crime in the past few weeks.
