The ANC has joined its Youth League in condemning the latest commercial by First National Bank.
The ruling party accuses the bank of using school children to make political statements in a manner that is disrespectful to elders and that disregard sacrifices made in the 18 years of democratic government.
The ANC said in a statement on Monday that while people are entitled to their views, its unacceptable that children should be used as proxies to articulate political views as espoused in the FNB advertisement.
The ruling party said it wants to meet FNB management to seek a better understanding of the advertisement and its intended objectives.
