ANC Eastern Cape chairperson, Pumulo Masualle, has presented the party's centenary flame to the Gauteng region of the ruling party.
The flame was with the Eastern Cape for the entire month of May and was taken to the homes of former Presidents, key struggle leaders, including those of O-R Tambo and Nelson Mandela.
In a speech prepared for delivery at the hand-over at the Carlton Centre today, Masualle highlighted the migration of people to Gauteng to work in the mines, to study and to start businesses.
Masualle is being accompanied by senior officials from the Bhisho government.
