ANC chief whip Stone Sizani says they've been briefed by the chairperson of the National Council of Province's, Thandi Modise, following criticism of her controversial North West farm.
He says they share her feelings that the situation is unfortunate and should not have happened.
Sizani said in a statement that he's satisfied that Modise is taking the necessary measures to correct the situation and to ensure it is avoided in future.
The ANC chief whip's statement comes after the NSPCA said it would lay criminal charges against those responsible for animals starving and eating one another on the farm.
Sizani also criticised opposition parties for "politicising the situation".
