Amy Leigh's alleged kidnappers will now appear in court on Monday

Three people arrested for allegedly kidnapping the 6-year-old Amy Leigh De Jager will now only appear in the Vanderbijlpark Magistrates court on Monday.

De Jager was allegedly kidnapped from outside her school on Monday but was returned to her family, unharmed, several hours later.

It has since come to light that one of the three people is the Grade RR school teacher at Amy Leigh's school, Laerskool Kollege Park.

The teacher has since been served with a notice of suspension.

National Police Spokesperson Brigadier Vishnu Naidu says two women aged 27 and 40, as well as a 50-year-old man, were arrested on Wednesday night.
