The Amy Leigh De Jager case has been postponed to January 9, 2020. This is to allow for further investigations and to obtain DNA results from a laboratory.
The four accused, who face charges of kidnapping and extortion, appeared briefly in the Vanderbijlpark magistrate's court on Wednesday to obtain a date for trial in the high court.
They are accused of kidnapping six-year-old Amy Leigh De Jager outside her school in September.
Pieter Van Zyl, Tharina Human, who is believed to be the mastermind behind the kidnapping and Lesotho national Molemohi Bafokeng have all been remanded in custody.
A fourth accused, Laetitia Nel was earlier released on bail and this was extended.
Nel is out on R25,000 bail.
