A man who allegedly raped a 15-year-old girl at knifepoint has been stoned to death in the Crossroads informal settlement in Cape Town.
According to a report on Tuesday the 32-year-old man was dragged from a shebeen, near the victim's house, beaten with sjamboks, and stoned to death on Sunday morning.
Two men with knives apparently confronted the girl and her friend and forced them into a shack where they were raped.
The teenage victim has reportedly been taken away from the area after her family apparently received death threats from the dead man's friends.
