A suspect in the killing of a police officer and the wounding of another in Hillbrow, Johannesburg, was shot and killed early this morning.
Gauteng police spokesperson, Brigadier Mashadi Selepe says the suspect who allegedly killed 47-year old Warrant Officer Moses Mosekwa on Saturday, was fatally wounded during a shootout with the police in Jeppestown.
He says another suspect was arrested and the police firearm which was stolen on Saturday was also recovered.
Selepe says an off-duty officer was also shot on Friday evening in Atteridgeville and later died in hospital.
