Afriforum embarks on month-long protest against farm murders

Nearly five years after an horrific farm attack in which a two-year-old girl was also murdered, civil rights group Afriforum says Government is still not giving the issue the attention it needs.

This, as Afriforum embarks on its “national month of protest against farm murders” campaign.

This will also include an address to the United Nation’s Forum on Minority Issues about farm murders on the 25th of November  as well as a national protest against
farm murders on the 1st of December.

Deputy CEO Ernst Roets says the protest will coincide with the five year anniversary of the murder of the Potgieter family:

Roets says hundreds of people have been murdered on farms in South Africa since then.

He is also urging the public to declare their support for the campaign by visiting the website stopthemurders.co.za and clicking on the appropriate link
