Actor Joe Mafela dies

Well known South African actor, Joe Mafela, has died at the age of 75.

According to early reports Sunday, he died in a car accident.

Mafela is known for his role in the isiZulu comedy, ‘Sgudi ‘Snaysi, following earlier roles in the SABC drama U' Deliwe in the 1980s.

Mafela received two life-time achievement awards, the Theatre Management Lifetime Achivement in 2005 and later the Savanna Comics’ Choice award in 2015.

He also received the Duka Duka for his contribution to the TV industry.
