6 killed in Klerksdorp accident

Six people have been killed in a head-on collision on the R503 near Klerksdorp in North west.

Netcare 911's Chris Botha says the accident happened about 20km outside of Klerksdorp on Saturday evening, when a VW Polo and an Audi collided.

He says one of the vehicles with five occupants burst into flames on impact, while the other wreck was found a few meters away with the female driver still trapped inside.

Botha says the cause of the accident is not known.
