The SA Transport and Allied Workers Union says striking truck drivers aligned to the union are not responsible for the acts of violence that marred the week long industrial action.
Satawu spokesperson, Vincent Masoga says criminals who want to tarnish the union's reputation are to be blamed.
He says all unions involved in the wage dispute with the Road Freight Employers Association condemned the violence.
Masoga says striking workers must maintain "iron discipline" and to not succumb to acts of intimidation and attacks during the strike.
