Police in Polokwane have arrested five of their most wanted suspects in connection with ten violent cases of murder, atm bombings and business robberies.
Spokesperson, Colonel Moatshe Ngoepe, says the men aged between 34 and 45 were arrested in a Tactical Intelligence Drive joint operation on Wednesday.
He says they are believed to be part of a gang that has been terrorising the community especially the business sector in and around the Sekhukhune District for several months.
Ngoepe says several items including plasma TV's, clothing, cell phones and a fridge that was reportedly stolen from various retail stores and residences were recovered during the arrests.
He says it also emerged that one of the suspects was on bail for another ATM bombing case that took place outside Tzaneen in October last year.
Ngoepe says a manhunt for the remaining suspects is still underway.
