A Vanderbijlpark teacher accused of masterminding a kidnapping of a Grade R learner last year made a brief appearance in the cities Magistrate's Court on Tuesday.
The 27-year-old Tharina Human, 40-year-old Leatitia Nel, 50-year-old Pieter van Zyl and the 24-year-old Molemohi Bafokeng all face charges of kidnapping and extortion.
Human allegedly planned the kidnapping of a 6-year-old pupil from Kollege Park Laerskool in September 2019.
The child was grabbed from her mother's arms outside the school in front of her little brother.
The matter was postponed to the 27th of March to set a trial date at the High Court in Johannesburg.
Nel is the only accused who is out on bail of R25 000
The DNA results related to the case are still outstanding.
