Johannesburg, Dec 22 (I-Net Bridge) - The South African Petroleum Industry Association (SAPIA) has confirmed that the petroleum industry is experiencing fuel supply constraints in some areas of Gauteng.
"The supply situation is being closely monitored by the Logistics Planning Team, which consists of members of the petroleum industry, the Department of Energy and Transnet," said Avhapfani Tshifularo, SAPIA executive director.
Some service stations may face sporadic shortages of one or more grades of fuel as oil companies try to reduce the delivery back-log, the body said.
"Everything possible is being done to improve the situation and we will continue to keep the public updated."
