Government has published regulations allowing for the trade of new and used vehicles during Level 4 of the lockdown.
Trade and Industry minister Ebrahim Patel gazetted the regulations on Tuesday which opens up the motor industry in three phases.
The sale of new and used cars by automotive manufacturers, including exports and imports through national ports, is now permitted.
Strict conditions have been set for dealerships and used car outlets, with restrictions of 30 and 60% of employment capacity in the first two phases of the process.
From the eighth of June, all dealerships and used car dealerships will be able to operate at 100% of employment capacity, according to the regulations.
