The South African publisher of Cosmopolitan, House & Leisure, Good Housekeeping and Women on Wheels will cease trading from Friday.
In a statement released by Associated Media Publishing (AMP) on Thursday, CEO Julia Raphaely said after 38 years the magazine titles will be shutting down permanently.
She said they have made every effort to battle the devastating economic impact of COVID-19.
Raphaely said it was the most difficult decision she ever had to make but they were left with no choice due to a global halt on advertising spend and an inability to host events for the foreseeable future.
AMP has served the South African print media landscape for the last 38 years.
