Extremely hot conditions are expected over the next 48 hours over the Western half of the Eastern Cape where temperatures could reach up to 40 C.
A spokesperson for the South African Weather Services Garth Sampson says towns like Adelaide, Fort Beaufort, Cradock and Graaff Reinet could reach 40 degrees in places while Gqeberha and Kariega will be in the mid to high thirties.
The weather office also issued a warning for damaging winds expected offshore between Plettenberg Bay and Kei River Mouth, spreading to Port Edward on Wednesday afternoon.
These strong winds could cause difficulty in navigation and local disruptions within ports and harbours.

Please remember that temperatures inside vehicles could rise to more than 10 degrees higher than outside in just 10 min.
