After travelling for more than 24 hours, a very tired celebrity mic finally reached JFK airport in New York for his connecting flight to Portland, Maine.
The folks at JetBlue were friendly enough to upgrade his seat to the front row which made our audio adventurer very happy as he took off on the last flight to his destination.
Once he got to Maine it was a short Uber ride during which the driver told Mike and the travelling party about the local area, culture and of course the Maine Lobsters. Mike made a voicenote to self - he'd have to try some.
The only way to reach the famous Chebeague Island Inn is via ferry, so Mike boarded "The Islander" for a 15 minute trip with scenic views of the islands in the area.
And there it was! The historic 93 year old Chebeague Island Inn with hundreds of years of island history around it stands as a bright welcome to visitors to the island. Every celebrity mic has to get a photo in front of such a well loved local landmark.
He spent the next day taking in the views of Casco Bay from the porch of the hotel and relaxing on a deck chair. He had a few drinks and exchanged funny stories with Tyrone, the Jamaican bartender.
And then Mike's Maine dream came true when Roland arrived with a few of the local delicacies: all-you-can-eat freshly cooked Maine lobester! It's a mic's life after all.
