Cape Town to get NEW 5-star dog hotel

Cape Town’s first ever five-star dog hotel, atFrits Dog Hotel & Daycare Centre will open 1 December 2015.

Following huge success of the atFrist clothing label for dogs in June this year, the city’s top dog, Frits Smit (aka Dogald Trump), has decided to expand the brand to travelling pooches and owners – wanting to rest their paws in style.

Frits’s human and founder of the brand, Yanic Klue, says there is a demand for reliable and good dog care facilities in South Africa.  The hotel intends to take responsibility for caring diligently for your pets.

The hotel practices strict security measures, allowing you to monitor your dog at all times. You see what they eat, where they play and when they return from their morning walks – allowing owners peace of mind to carry on with their day at a relaxed pace.

Doggy heaven

The hotel offers tailored packages to suit specific needs too. Other than the normal cuddles and scratches, hotel facilities include a salon, spa, retail store, gourmet meals and a la carte menu, DSTV, 24/7 webcams for monitoring your pets, themed movie nights, snack bars and an in-house vet for any aches and dry noses.

The hotel is also a great place for your dogs to meet other dogs and socialize at the local dog parks on their daily 45-minute walk. For those inclined towards peace and relaxation they can take a nap in a private suite or have a “pawdicure”.

Architect, dog lover and hotel design guru Greg Viljoen from DesignLab, designed and constructed the atFrits Hotel with his four legged companions in mind. He is also the architect behind some of South Africa’s luxury hotels, like the Upper East Side HotelThe Cape Grace and The Fan Court in Mossel Bay.
