Earlier this year, Burger King ran a hilarious birthday campaign, that proved just how frightening clowns can be.
The campaign played on the fear of coulrophobia, which is the fear of clowns. With the remake of 'It', inspired by Stephen King's novel, and the sequel 'Chapter Two' that is currently screening, it's perfect timing.
But of course, the campaign was not made to piggyback off of the movie, but rather to send a punch below the belt to its competitor, McDonalds.
The campaign shares pictures of birthday memories gone wrong. Hilarious displays of children desperately trying to escape a smiling clowns grip, and Burger King cleverly communicating that "Birthday's Should be Happy. Come to Burger King and book a clown-free birthday.
