A Burger King chain in Argentina decided to go a full day without selling any Whoppers burgers.
The campaign, 'Day without a Whopper" delivered great sentiment on social media and is still being shared as consumers appreciate the thought behind the campaign.
However, it didn't necessarily sway McDonald's customers to make the decision of choosing a Big Mac over their favourite McD's meal.
McDonald's in Argentina celebrates McHappy Day annually, which raises funds for children with cancer foundations.
This year, Burger King embraced the idea and supported the cause and even though it missed the mark with some of their customers, the campaign did boast some success.
The results were as follows:
Burger king sold 0 Whoppers in 107 restaurants nationwide.
McDonald's sold 73 437 more Big Mac's than in 2018.
