Defending men's World Cup champion Chad Le Clos and fellow Olympic gold medallist Cameron van der Burgh, both won their events on the opening night of the Fina World Cup swimming series in Dubai.
Le Clos won the 200 metre butterfly gold in a repeat of his Olympic heroics, edging Daiya Seto of Japan by a tenth of a second.
Van der Burgh was the overwhelming favourite in the 50m breaststroke and comfortably won in 26.64s.
