Spain's Alejandro Valverde claimed a stylish solo victory in the mountainous 17th stage of the Tour de France as Bradley Wiggins admitted he now feels like a yellow jersey champion.
Wiggins came over the finish line on the wheel of his nearest challenger, Sky teammate Chris Froome 18secs behind the Spaniard.
Froom is 2 minutes 5 seconds behind Wiggins and Italian Vincenzo Nibali third at 2:41 after he lost another 18 seconds to Wiggins on Thursday.
