Embattled EP Rugby President, Cheeky Watson survived a vote of no confidence brought against him at a specially convened meeting of the union on Saturday - which had been delayed several times in the past.
The clubs needed 63 votes to achieve a vote of no confidence, but were only able to muster up 52 votes.
Watson was present at the meeting at the NMB Stadium, as was Acting SA Rugby President Mark Alexander, Chairman Francois Davids and EP Administrator Monde Tabata.
There was no quorum at the meeting, but the clubs came to an agreement to go ahead with the business of the day.
