The Highveld Lions made it two-out-of-two victories as they thrashed the Chevrolet Warriors by eight wickets in their Mi-way T20 Challenge fixture at axxess St George last night.
Jonathan Vandiar scored an unbeaten 56 off 53 balls while Neil McKenzie finished 31 not out as the Lions chased down the Warriors modest total of 134 with seven balls to spare - for the loss of only two wickets.
The Warriors have now lost all three of their matches in the competition so far but with nine matches still to be played their is time to recover.
That will have to start against the New Age Impi in Benoni next wednesday when the Warriors will be able to field Colin Ingram and Rusty Theron who will be back from New Zealand.
