Jacques Rudolph struck a fifty before Alfonso Thomas took three wickets as the Titans cruised to a 59-run win over the Auckland Aces in their champions league Twenty20 match at Kingsmead in Durban yesterday.
Rudolph struck 63 off 56 balls and Farhaan Behardien scored 48 not out off just 23 deliveries as the Titans posted 172 for four.
Auckland, in reply, could only cobble together 113 all out in 18.1 overs with seamer Thomas claiming 3-18 off 3.1 overs.
The Titans are now looking good for the semis after two wins out of two as they top Pool A.
The Rain then arrived in Durban and spelt the end of the Kolkata Knight Rider’s semifinal hopes after their match against the Perth Scorchers ended in a no-result.
