There is a good chance that Tendai ‘Beast’ Mtawarira will play on the Springbok tour of Ireland, Scotland and England maybe even as soon as this weekend’s clash with the Scots at Murrayfield.
The big loosehead prop was withdrawn from the team at the 11th hour ahead of the opening tour match, which the Boks won 16-12 at Aviva Stadium in Dublin on Saturday night.
Mtawarira suffered a recurrence of a heart palpitation problem and was rushed to hospital, with CJ van der Linde replacing him in the front row.
The All Blacks smashed Scotland 55-22 yesterday and in Saturday's other big games, France overpowered Australia 33-6 in Paris and Argentina outclassed Wales 26-12 in Cardiff.
England beat Fiji 54-12 at Twickenham.
