The SWD Eagles Currie Cup squad was announced today by Union President Hennie Baartman at Outeniqua Park in George.
There are three new players in the squad which will once again be campaigning in the Currie Cup First Division this season.
They are hooker Hans van Dyk who has super rugby experience with both the Cheetahs and the Lions, tighthead prop Grant Kemp who played the past two seasons with Tukkies in the Varsity Cup and former Western Province centre Nicolaas Hanekom.
Last season's captain Wilhelm Koch also makes a return after focussing on business interests for the first half of this year.
Director of coaching Johann Lerm will be head coach for the currie cup campaign with Eddie Myners, who was in charge during the Vodacom Cup, taking control of the forwards.
