South Western Districts main strike bowler Gurshwin Rabie has been crowned the SWD Player of the 2011/12 season.
Rabie, with 64 wickets, bagged the most wickets in domestic first class cricket last season.
Behind Vince van der Bijl and Dale Steyn he became the third highest wicket taker in a single season in South African cricket.
Rabie's efforts did not go unnoticed and he has been rewarded with a two year contract from the Chevrolet Warriors.
Christiaan Jonker and his SWD captain Ross McMillan were also honoured with special merit awards.
Jonker was the top run scorer in domestic first class cricket last season with 1-thousand 189 runs and McMillan topped the bowling averages in South Africa at 12.42 runs per wicket.
