A 23 year old student from the Nelson Mandela Bay Metropolitan University will represent Eastern Province and his country at the All-Africa Powerlifting Championships in Morocco next month.
Sebastiaan Loubser broke no less than 5 Eastern Cape Records in the Junior 120kg class at the SA National Equipped powerlifting championships in George last month.
During this Championship, where he competed against powerlifters from the Western Cape, he broke the junior unequipped bench press and powerlifting record, by bench pressing and lifting 165kg.
Loubser also broke the Junior squat record with a weight of 230kg and the deadlift record in the unequipped division by lifting 225kg.
The All Africa Championships will take place between the 23 and 25 th of October in Meknes, Morocco.
