Springbok wing Aphiwe Dyanti’s B-sample has tested positive for banned substances.
This means the 25-year-old has been officially charged by the SA Institute for Drug-free Sport (Saids).
Dyanti first returned a positive test for a banned substance on the 2nd of July after a Springbok training camp.
He immediately denied any wrongdoing.
If Dyanti contests the charge, and pleads not guilty a hearing will be scheduled in the next month in which he will be required to provide evidence of his innocence.
Meanwhile: The Springboks flew out to Japan on Friday for next month's rugby World Cup with lock Eben Etzebeth on the plane.
He met with the Human Rights Commission (HRC) in Johannesburg on Thursday afternoon following allegations that he was part of a group who assaulted a homeless man in Langebaan recently and also pointed a firearm at him.
Etzebeth strongly refuted the claims.
