South Africa have beaten Australia by 309 runs late on the 4th day of the 3rd and deciding test in Perth.
The Proteas won the series 1-0 to retain their number one ranking in test cricket.
Chasing a massive victory target of 632, Australia were bowled out for 322 runs in their second innings.
Dale Steyn took the last wicket and now has 299 test wickets to his name.
Port Elizabeth-born Robin Petersen dismissed Ricky Ponting for 8 in his final test innings before retirement.
Speaking post match on Supersport - Ponting said he appreciated the guard of honour formed by the Proteas when he came out to bat for the final time in his 168-test career.
