Semenya can still qualify for Tokyo

The two-time Olympic 800m champion, Caster Semenya, will have one last crack at qualifying for the 2021 Summer Games in Tokyo.

Due to her well-documented battles, Semenya will not be defending her title in Japan later this year.

Instead, she has shifted her focus to the 5000m.

Her manager, Lee-Roy Newton has organised an athletics meet in Durban later this month where she will attempt to book her ticket to the Far East.

To board the flight to Tokyo later this year, Semenya will have run the distance in 15 minutes 10 seconds or faster.
