South Africans took the top prizes at the 2024 Isuzu Ironman 70.3 held in ideal conditions in Mossel Bay on Sunday.
Matthew Ralphs got his maiden win in the gruelling triathlon, which included a 1.9km swim, 90km bike race, and 21km run in just over 4:02:20.
Countryman, James McCallum was second (4:05:03) , and Julen Lopetugui Garcia of Spain came in third (4:09:38).
The first South African woman home in 2024 was Mariella Sawyer, who completed the race in 4:53:14, ahead of three other compatriots.
Vicki van der Merwe was close behind, finishing in second in 4:56:22, and Bridget Theunissen came in third place (4:49:21).
The fourth spot also went to a South African triathlete, Ashleigh Irvin Smith, ahead of Canadian, Sarah Bonner.
