CAPE TOWN, December 9 (ANA) – South Africa’s Blitzbokke ran out 41-0 winners against Russia in their opening HSBC World Rugby Sevens Series match at the Cape Town Sevens on Saturday, after leading 17-0 at the halftime break.
The Blitzbokke, the top seeds in Pool A, scored tries through Seabelo Senatla (2), Werner Kok (2), Philip Snyman, Dylan Sage and Justin Geduld. Branco du Preez, Rosco Specman and Geduld each added a conversion to wrap up the 41-point haul.
The Blitzbokke’s remaining games on Saturday are at 16h10 versus USA, and at 19h56 versus Australia in the final encounter of the day.
