India has missed out on a chance to be the world’s top-ranked ODI side after losing to Sri Lanka in the recent series.
India needed to complete a 3-0 clean sweep against Sri Lanka to depose South Africa at the top of the ICC ODI Rankings but that was ruled out early as they lost the opening match on a seaming track in Dharamsala.
There has, therefore, been no change of positions in the world rankings which were released by the ICC (International Cricket Council) on Monday.
