Thanks to solid effort from their defence, the South Africa men's hockey side managed to defeat Belgium 3-2 in a once-off Test match at the University College Dublin, in Ireland, last night.
South Afric led 2-1 at the break and can look back on the effort of goalkeeper Rassie Pieterse who pulled off a string of fine saves to keep the opposition out.
This was South Africa's first match against Olympic opposition on their European tour thus far - as they continue their preparations for London.
