SA Hockey girls beat Belgium

The Investec South Africa women’s hockey team have beaten Belgium 2-1 in the one-off Test match at the Randburg Astro.

Belgium opened the scoring when Sofie Gierts slipped the ball past South African goalkeeper Mariette Rix after just 25 seconds.

The hosts equalised in the 10thminute through  Kathleen Taylor.

The winner came with 25 minutes left on the clock after Tarryn Bright’s penalty corner rocketed into the net.
