Harry Redknapp has been sacked as manager of Tottenham Hotspur after nearly four years in charge of the Premier League club.

Apparently - Spurs was only willing to offer Redknapp a rolling 12-month contract whereas Redknapp favoured a longer deal.

On the field of play - Germany beat the Netherlands 2-1 and Portugal edged Denmark 3-2 in Euro 2012 action last night.

In Thursday's matches in Poland, Italy faces Croatia in Poznan and Spain will play Ireland later in Gdansk.
